One of the most important tools for any racing driver is their simulator. Unlike other sports racing isn’t something we can do every day, in reality we are lucky if we are in the car more than once or twice a month. A good simulator lets us prepare, hone our skills and keep our eye in between events.
It’s incredible how realistic they are, tracks and cars are laser scanned to minute details and there have been times where my lap times on the sim match to the tenth what I do in real life. In formula One there are teams dedicated purely for the operation of the team simulator.
